Traditional Handcrafted Wooden Snowshoes by Michael George

$450.00

Handcrafted by longtime Wolf-Moose Project volunteer Michael George, these traditional wooden snowshoes celebrate the enduring craftsmanship and outdoor heritage of the North Woods.

Inspired by traditional Anishinaabe snowshoe designs, this pair is crafted from hand-selected northern Michigan white ash and carefully strung with durable nylon flat cord for exceptional strength and abrasion resistance. Designed to carry heavy loads with ease, these snowshoes perform well in both wet and dry snow, making them as functional as they are beautiful. Bindings are included.

More than a display piece, these snowshoes reflect the skills and traditions that made winter travel across northern forests possible and continue to inspire exploration today. Generously donated in support of the Wolf-Moose Project, they are a meaningful addition for outdoor enthusiasts, collectors, and anyone who appreciates handcrafted works rooted in the landscapes of the Upper Great Lakes.
